Licensed Practical Nurse
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This LPN is needed to provide hands on nursing coverage for the medically involved individuals who reside in Cove Rd IRA. Nursing oversite will be provided by the Register Nurse 1, with administrative oversite provided by the Registered Nurse Supervisor 1.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
o Assist with nursing tasks within their scope of practice o Ensure that all medications and treatments required on that shift are performed and implemented as written, and the data is recorded. o Provides documentation as needed o Ensures that the following documentation is accurate and available such as The Ready to Go, monthly MAR, Consents, Current Scripts o Maintains tickler for OTC expiration dates and OTC orders for the individuals o Monitors/supervises individuals with insulin administration, and with PO daily medications/treatments o Provides first aide to individuals, monitors vital signs as needed, attends to individual's personal needs, including activities of daily living and hygiene tasks, and reports to the Registered Nurse 1 their findings o Acts a liaison between the IRA Residential staff and the Registered Nurse1. o Purchasing and organizing med room supplies o Other duties as assigned NOTE:

Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain a license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State. Transfer
Qualifications:
Candidates must currently be a permanent Licensed Practical Nurse.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
